SEPTEMBER - THE TRANSITION

 

Wow, its so amazing that we are already in the ninth month of the year, how time flies! I can still recall vividly how the year 2015 started, just like yesterday lols. September happens to be my best month of the year, apart from it being my birth month, it holds a lot of significance to general human existence.

September is the ninth month of the year with only 30 days. Originally, it was the seventh month of the year in the Roman calender before 153BCE. The month kept its original name from the roman calender in which "septem" means seven. September was named during a time when the calender month began in march.

One unique discovery about the month of September is that it starts on the same day of the week as December every year, but does not end on the same day of the week as any other month in the year.

The birth stone for September is sapphire, which means "clear thinking" . Its birth flowers are morning glory, forget me not and aster.

I see September as a month of transition due to its change from being the seventh month of the year to the ninth month and still maintained its name. Seven as we all know is a number of perfection and nine is a number of birth - its an abnormality for a child to stay in its mother's womb for more than nine months.

September marks the dawn of a new beginning as it starts the "EMBER" month. I decree that this is going to be a September to remember for us all and God's word shall prevail in our lives...
